Tracking Democrats Voting for Trump Cabinet and Bills (2/9/2025 update)

February 9, 2025 update:

Last week, I published the first tracking of democrats voting for fascist nominees and bills. This week, I added totals for each vote as well as totals for each senator to show how they are voting. Additionally, I recognized that it would be easier to understand if I listed each by their state first to make it easier to find. Lastly, I included another tab for the non-cabinet senate required confirmations and will begin building that as soon as the votes come in.

With the new votes added this week, we can start to see patterns in how democrats are voting. Everyone confirmed former Senator Marco Rubio for Secretary of State. Personally, I believe any vote for a fascist is wrong no matter if it is a former congressional member or not. This is not to mention the fact that Rubio spends most of his time making Bible quotes on social media, and used the Pulse Night Club mass shooting of LGBTQ to get reelected and is currently advocating for taking away our rights.

Patterns during last 13 cabinet votes:

  • Laziest -

    • Senator Jon Ossoff (GA) - DID NOT VOTE 4 times.

    • Senator John Fetterman (PA) - DID NOT VOTE 3 times.

  • Most Trumpian -

    • Senator Fetterman (PA) confirmed 8 Trump nominees.

  • Those with the most spine - all below voted only for Rubio.

    • Senator Mazie Hirono (HI)

    • Senator Duckworth (IL)

    • Senator Markey (MA)

    • Senator Warren (MA)

    • Senator Van Hollen (MD)

    • Senator Merkley (OR)

    • Senator Wyden (OR)

    • Senator Reed (RI)

    • Senator Murray (WA)
